Like the best of ideas, they are born from pain, a problem, and a passion. When David was in business school, he saw that businesses needed a way to manage all of the travel data of their employees. Flying here, staying there, there were so many options and changes. And sooo many websites!

David developed a way to tie all of this data together into one database. Now companies and their employees could see how and where they were traveling from a single source. This was fine, but there needed to be a higher purpose. As David traveled the globe, he saw how other countries were trying to grapple with the challenges of CO₂ and pollution.

Thus was born EmissionsCalc. If you could pull together all of your travel and emissions, you could show people and companies alike the amount of emissions they were generating. This would allow everyone to begin understanding that there is more than a monetary cost to their actions.

In short: EmissionsCalc was born as a tool to measure all of your and your company's emissions. Our goal is to not how to tell anyone how to run their lives, or tell companies how to run their business. Our goal is to give you the information to make informed decisions on reducing your emissions. Period. No nannies, no tattletales, no big brother. We provide the data, you make the decisions.
